The latest trend on social media is Instagram Reels. In an obvious move by Instagram to compete with TikTok, Instagram Reels allow users to create and edit short videos that can be synced to music or audio clips. Instagram Reels show up directly in a users’ feed, as well as in the Discover feed, and on the poster’s profile. You can tell that a post is a Reels video if it has this icon in the bottom left corner:

Should My Business Use Instagram Reels? 

If your business already has an established following on Instagram, Instagram Reels might work for you. It could be worth trying Reels to see if you get any traction from your audience, and capitalise on this new trend. But if your business has only a small following, or if you feel Instagram Reels doesn’t align with your business’s brand, it’s probably better to sit this particular marketing trend out.
